Peter Thompson, M.D.

Peter is a board-certified internist and oncologist and Affiliate Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Washington. He is a member at OrbiMed Advisors LLC, an investment firm, where he has served in various roles of increasing responsibility since 2010, including as Partner from 2013 to 2021. He currently serves on the Board of ARS Pharmaceuticals Inc., Corvus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Edgewise Therapeutics, Inc., as well as several private companies. He has over 30 years of industry experience, serving leadership roles with Becton, Dickinson and Company, Chiron Corporation, and Trubion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He also served on the staff at the National Cancer Institute and is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awardee. Peter earned his M.D. from Brown University Medical School.
